Social dilemma / The social dilemma?

Have you seen this documentary on Netflix?

What's your opinion?

If you liked it, I recommend watching the documentary about Cambridge Analytica and Brittany Kaiser. Cambridge Analytica was a date analysis system. The CA has collected massive amounts of data from potential voters via social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Co., and systematically filled the voters 'social media with messages, videos, memes, etc. Via profile and personality analyzes in order to show the voters' behavior in their own favor and to influence desires. Several former employees and whistleblowers have admitted that they made a significant contribution to Brexit and the election of Trump. Which of course they were paid for.

I was already aware that my data was not protected on social media and on the Internet, but I was not aware of the extent to which my personal dates are valuable for companies and what can actually be achieved with them in society.

Did the documentary shock you that much, or do you find it exaggerated? Did it make you think, upset? Are you in the process of rethinking how you use the internet? Should personal data be a human right? What can be done about social media being paid for politicians and parties to influence the outcome of elections and developments for themselves? What does that say about our democracy? Do you think this will put her in greater danger?

You don't have to answer all of the questions. I'm just interested in your personal opinion on this problem.

Have looked at both. Both were gross.

So far I have only downloaded, but not viewed. I'm not exactly sure what to think of Netflix documentaries. 😅

But I avoid social networks entirely anyway, so I don't think I'll hear much new there. When it comes to data protection, I think I'm pretty well informed in this regard.

What about google? I should probably add that it is about data in the Internet in general

Highly Recommended! It is a Netflix documentary, and you can see it, and sometimes a bit exaggerated and dramatic, but at the core it is incredibly important.

Ti

I looked at it and it's really sick. But again you can see that it's all about money

Da

I'll take a look at the opportunity. 👍🏻
