Delete social media accounts?

I just watched the Netflix documentary "The Dilemma with Social Media".

This makes me rethink my entire social media consumption and I come to 2 options.

Completely delete social media. Has the advantage of really not wasting any more time on it, could lead to better well-being because you are not constantly comparing yourself to others.
To be used as deliberately and rarely as possible. If you can only do it e.g. Using it once a day, you could still communicate with friends, etc. Without wasting your time by swiping endlessly. So to say the best of both worlds.

What do you think what would be better. The advantages of one option are the disadvantages of the other. Option 1 is too radical and potential contacts could slip through the flaps. Or is conscious consumption hardly possible because one is always curious to see whether something new has come in?

I deleted all social media about a year ago. Exceptions, if you want to see them as exceptions are Whatsapp, YouTube and now and then good question. I can honestly say that after a while it is extremely liberating, you can focus much better on really important things. I recommend that you think about what really offers you added value in your life and what is more negative for you in the long term. I would recommend option 1 to you and at least try it for a few weeks. If you don't like it that way, you can always switch to option 2. Social media accounts are initially only deactivated and not deleted.
Good luck with it and have fun in the new freedom.
