Firefox videos jerky extremely in full screen mode?

I have had the problem since yesterday that every video that I watch in full screen with Firefox jerks and lies extremely.

It doesn't matter whether in Youtube, Spiegel, Netflix Trailer, everything. However, if they are minimized, they run 1A.

I tested hardware acceleration from without success. I also set a value (but never know what it was called) in about: config from 15000 to 60000, even without success and set 2 things from true to false (I read it in forums, but I don't know how the 2 Entries were called) also without success.

It seems to me that the Firefox update is to blame…

Anyone have any ideas? That excites animal!

Graka is a GTX1070. Windows 10 is on it.

Incidentally, other browsers do not have the problem!

mu

Have you completely redesigned Firefox? That mostly helps, I had a similar problem with the Google Chrome installed and re-installed and lo and behold, otherwise cache browser data and so on delete before the new installation.

lu

I whispered it after completely reinstalled, then he went. Today, however, the same problem again. I don't get it

sw

I know Firefox too well, it has already come to me in fegefire. Oh was the bad use of simple browsers like Chrome, Opera, even edge (chromium) is faster than Firefox especially when you gamble Firefox consumes the most power

Br

Unfortunately Firefox has already switched to forced updates or nagscreens. I just blocked it in the router. Because I don't like auto updates.

Are you annoyed too?

Please complain here:

Co

Chrome is better anyway

Te

Yes, Chrome is a bit more powerful, but you pay with your data.

If you are using a brick with 500MB RAM and a 20 year old processor, you may notice it.

There's definitely another problem on the questioner's PC.

Te

No. Just no.

Te

The automatic updates make sense for the average user. I personally like it.

Br

Then you should leave it as default setting on autoupdate. The average user does not change such settings. Forcing me onto this stuff or annoying myself with constant reports is a no go for me.

Te

Can't you change that in about: config?

Co

Why do I know that privacy seems important to me? Speed is more important

Br

No idea. I didn't get a pop-up months ago that "reminded" me every time I restarted that there was an update. After that, Mozilla was put on the blacklist and since then Firefox no longer knows.

The fact that the updates shoot down my favorite add-ons is the second that is unacceptable. They may leave me alone and not waste my working hours.

Te

Then take Brave. Is faster than Chrome and respects your privacy.

Te

Hm. It's more important to me not to get viruses. But everyone has different preferences.

Su

That makes no sense.

Te

I have a laptop with 500MB and Lubuntu. Youtube videos run smoothly in HD.

But not with Firefox but with SMplayer. At least you can tell the difference between Firefox and Chromium. Because Chromium runs smoother.

sw

But surely no Youtube videos because the processor will be far too weak that it will not work

Br

The browsers are now pretty well protected against attacks. It is important that you do not allow executable code from untrustworthy sites. I have a browser for trusted sites and another for surfing. Only with the former is Java (something different than JavaScript) and ActiveX allowed. Surf never unlocked with such powerful languages. There's no use to you an update, just think for yourself.

Te

It is even just 20% full.

Te

Of course you can do that.

sw

I dare to doubt very hard because YouTube videos do not run on older CPUs

This video 720p60, smooth:

My old laptop also had a Pentium 4 but 2gb ram and no youtube video on 720p

Te

What kind of operating system do you have on it?

sw

Windows 10 as well as linux mint

Te

It is clear that this is not going well. They are both too memory intensive.

sw

All right and the CPU utilization of 100% and the memory utilization of 75% are deco or how

Te

Memory usage 75% is ok. That's not bad. The CPU usage of 100% is the problem, this is due to the overhead of the browser.

Try Lubuntu with SMPlayer. You will see that is possible.
