Problems with the cable internet connection?

As the question says above, I have problems with my cable Internet.

Short information about my tariff and the performance that matters:

Vodafone Cable100

92-93 of these 100Mbit / s come directly to my PC and the ping is between 15 and 25ms.

I live in the middle of the city center in a multi-family house, where only 3 parties even have an Internet connection.

Now for my problem. For almost 2 weeks, the Internet is constantly out and in general, the connection is very bad, so for example it takes almost 10sec to Google opens and for services such as Steam, I download rates below 1Mbit / s. Also over my iPhone and my iPad takes the construction of Internet pages forever. The only thing that really works is Netflix and Amazon Video (without preloading in FullHD streaming no problem). Maybe to say that my PC is connected via LAN.

Is there a solution for how to fix these problems?

A little question at the end: I have long been wondering why I only play games and other files with max. 10Mbit / s can download, although over 90Mbit / s are available. Is this a limitation that can be removed, or is this a problem with the cable connection?

First of download depends on the servers from where you load the are mostly limited. For your difficulties, please have some info. Where do you live in a city or in the countryside. In the house or block etc

I live in the middle of the city in a multi-family house with 6 parties. Of these 6 parties, however, only 3 have an Internet connection (people over 80)

Ok I'll just try to explain how the technology works on cables. With cables, it is so that there's a main strand and all use this one. That means one shares this with very many people therefore it can happen that at certain times the line hangs up almost impossible. You are not the only one. Therefore, I only use vdsl the line is mine alone.

But how do these values come about during a speed test anyway? In addition, we live here for almost a year and have the connection since then, but had until 2-3 weeks ago no problems and were always very satisfied.

First wanted to explain the technique. From my point of view, it would be helpful to know if a 2nd Pc or notebook has the same problem or if it is only s.PC. Now you have to narrow down exactly because there can be 3 sources of error. 1st line 2nd router. 3. Pc. Unfortunately you always have to work from 3rd to 1st

My "gaming" PC is connected via LAN (because it does not have Wi-Fi). In the WLAN in 2 iPhone's (same problem as with the PC) an iPad and a MacBook and with all the same picture

Of course, the question would be synonymous if it is s.PC, what exactly is it hapert s.PC? Because performance should not be lacking.

Su

Do not know what you have, perfect.

as

Okay have you restarted the router that sometimes helps ware wonder. Could also be a problem caused by a router

Ad

So we start the router every day

as

Ok then it's now a bit more complicated to first what you have as a router? Ne fritzbox?

Ad

No, the original Vodafone router, which was at the tariff

de

Could be due to problems with the wireless internet. If the air is very contaminated with wireless, then it can sometimes be difficult… Times to test the devices firmly wired as far as possible

Ad

So with us everything is via WLAN except the big PC. And we have no TV or something like that

as

I hoped you have a fritzbox because when you can see under the dsl connections crc error on the line run up because that would fit to your error image. Weis just not if you can look it up with your router also

Gu

Do a speed test and check your router's WAN connection. Take screenshots. Is the speedtest several times significantly bad, report a fault with Vodafone and send them through the screenshots.

But if streaming works fine, the problem may be elsewhere.
Try to set 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 as DNS. If the DNS resolution does not work properly, this can bring the NEtz traffic to a standstill.

Otherwise, please consider that you are a user among many. Your download is most important to you, of course. But you're just one of many, so many servers set a rate limiting that all get some of the overall performance. Is only fair.
