Have an old TV with a receiver. Connection only via internet. Connection receiver to the old TV via HDMI. I would now like to replace this with a SMART TV from Samsung, Crystal UHD. Connection should again only run over the Internet. Netflix works. Go to the Internet via Wi-Fi. The station search expects my cable connection for normal programs. How can I avoid that? Should I reconnect the receiver via HDMI to the SMART TV? And then connect the receiver to the Internet via an Internet cable?
The channel search always goes through the built-in TV tuner, because either cable, satellite or DVB-T2, IPTV channels can't be found over it, so you only have to use the receiver again if what you want to see on it does not use the smart function of the TV is available, for example as an app.
OK. Many thanks. Very helpful. Then I try the receiver.
