Either: You downloaded it on Netflix in SD, your cell phone does not support HD or the movie / series is not in HD
I have netflix from the play store. Normal as normal
So on yt I watch videos and the videos are always on 1080p, I also have a fairly new cell phone (redmi note 8 pro)
On the pc I noticed that the quality is somehow not so good 🤔 my girlfriend sent me a picture of what it looks like, and it looked sharper to her, even though it was the same series.
Uninstalling the app, updating your phone software and reinstalling Netflix should help.

Premium is not hd?
It's so easy that I never even thought of it.
I've set everything to very high, nothing changes, and as I said, premium subscription (ultra hd).
Is this the case with every film or only with older films?
Your cell phone may not meet security guidelines due to copy protection. My A7 2018 is also not supported and therefore I only get SD quality.
Have a look in the menu item Netflix HD and select the brand, if your model is not there you only have SD quality. https://help.netflix.com/...node/23939
