When is the best time to watch the short treks on Star Trek Discovery?

I'm watching "Star Trek Discovery" on Netflix and wanted to know which episodes to watch which "Short Treks" to stay in the right order?

The short treks are not connected. The order is therefore arbitrary.

Ah ok. And can I watch them all after the first season or do they not belong to any particular season?

The stories are independent of the main plot.

Often you don't even realize that it has anything to do with Discovery.

You benefit from watching Season 1 of Short Treks before Season 2 Discovery, in my opinion.

e.g. Episode 3: The Brightest Star
I don't find it uninteresting to have seen it before.

So I watch the end of the first season, then the 4 short treks and then seasons 2 and 3 ?!
