While I watch a series on Netflix the CPU temp jumps. Always between 45 and 54 degrees, which makes the fans always loud and quiet annoying. What can you do about it? Change fan curve or is something else possible?

What is a fan curve?
The configuration of your fan. There are various tools to change them. You can e.g. Let it run from 60 ° C.
With most motherboards you can regulate the dependency on temperature and fan speed using a graphical curve.

Do not place the laptop on the carpet or other textiles. Make sure there's enough air (there are own fan boards to look at for about 20 euro)
If you do not have a graphics card but the CPU that does it, it may well happen, depending on how much happens on the screen.
Reduce background services to a minimum and relieve the CPU.
Install a new fan
I don't think any more than turning the volume.
