Controlling YouTube on pc via cell phone?

I wanted to ask if it is possible that I can control YouTube and or Netflix with my mobile phone while I want to watch it on the PC.
I could e.g. Calling up Netflix on my mother's TV on my mobile phone and turning on something, but I have not found a way that this also works on the PC
Would be cool if there was a way

I have an adapter that transmits the image to a screen;)
