And while watching, a thought occurred to me that I just can't get out of my head.
What if someone old would travel into the past with their cell phone, give this cell phone to their younger self and then they would just age, travel into the past and then give it back to their younger self and then start all over again? At some point the cell phone should be empty?
The process would then be as follows:
travels in the past → gives cell phone to his younger I → younger I ages →
travels in the past → gives cell phone to his younger I → younger I ages →
travels in the past → gives cell phone to his younger I → younger I ages →
…
Well… The cell phone will of course be passed on all the time and that can't stop, otherwise it would destroy the entire time loop. But what happens when the phone gets empty?
Then the cell phone owner has to charge the battery.
Yes, but if he travels in the past and hands over the cell phone, does he age directly? Does he jump into the time of the traveled ego or does he age suddenly in his time?
But then there would be a process in which something goes differently. Namely, the cell phone would be charged in one time loop, but not in the other.
