Although we have a relatively strong internet line with about 300Mbit / s, Netflix always shows me 2-3Mbit / s on the TV. At first I thought it was because I connected it wirelessly to the Internet, because my computer is connected to the Internet via cable, and I can use the full 300Mbit / s bandwidth here. But even if I connect my TV via cable, Netflix only shows me 2-3Mbit / s, so I can hardly get beyond 720p. The TV is from 2017 and from Samsung actually not really old. Is that an attitude or something similar that I don't find or is it something else?
This will probably not be the solution, but various services, including Netflix, had to reduce the bandwidth in Europe during Corona in order not to hinder the work of people in the home office due to increased workload.
Unfortunately, I don't know why you only get 1/100 of your bandwidth.
Are youtube HD / UHD slow?
I also switched my Smart TV from Wi-Fi to cable and youtube selects the bandwidth independently.
I force youtube to a higher resolution the videos jerky and in the status display you can see that the buffer is not filled quickly enough.
If I absolutely want to see HD / UHD, I load the video on the PC and copy it to a USB 3.0 stick. It works quite well with Youtube and media libraries will probably not work with Netflix (don't lift netflix yourself).
