I recently started to watch the series Doctor WHO on Netflix. But I started about the 8th season, because I did not want to start from the beginning and there's also only on the 5th Season on Netflix.
Of course, I realize that I can't wait to understand everything right away, because, as I said, it's the 8th season, but still there's a question that I can't answer in any way.
And I do not quite understand who the master is. Well, somehow it's this Missy, but on the internet I also read that the master was just one and that there are incarnations of the master. How do I understand that now? There's a master who embodies the various villains?
I'm sorry if the question is a bit strange, but I hope you can help me. Sure it's easy to understand, but I'm not checking it.
Welcome to regeneration.
When Time Lords are mortally wounded / die regenerate into a new body.
The whole is not infinite.
The master has been regenerated a few times and currently from your point of view just as Missy.

Your question has already been answered, but I have to recommend you to watch Doctor Who from season 5 onwards.
Otherwise you have really missed a lot.
It's not the beginning of the series, but the 5th season is actually seen as 1 season.
Doctor Who was discontinued at that time and continued from 2005, but nevertheless regarded as a new start of the series.
Just for your information, the series can be very confusing, I also had to look a few times something I did not understand, but it is worth it.
I would recommend this season. Rose and 9 are a nice combo and rose and 10 are great. Auserdem arise then no questions because staff assumes that most of the original 26? Did not see seasons.
You probably did not understand something quite right and possibly overlooked four seasons.
Season 1 of 2005 is the one with Christopher Eccleston as, then three more seasons and four specials with David Tennant as. Only then is the fifth season with Matt Smith as.
The new beginning is actually meant that the series 2005 (just with the season with Christopher Eccleston) was continued after a long time, after she was discontinued in the late 80s. Season 5 is from 2010.
But in my opinion it's just as good or bad for a new entry as Season 1, Season 3, Season 4, Stafffel 8 and Season 10.
There are always allusions to previous events that you do not understand if you have not seen the corresponding consequences (a good example is the question "Are you my mommy?" When the doctor puts on a gas mask).
Upps… I've lost myself… Ka what was wrong with me 🙈😅
I have seen all seasons from 2005, well except for those with the 13 Doctor.
If you count the old and the new together it would be so far, I believe 36 seasons and I Vollidiot I imagined before there were only 4 seasons.
As I said, I have no idea what was going on with me 😂
But thanks again for the enlightenment 😉
What exactly do you mean in this episode with the gas mask?
