We just had the above discussion.
I think I once found that I can only watch 4K on my TV when I stream Netflix via my xbox one x, for example, because it is 4K capable. If I leave it off and only stream Netflix via my 4K TV without a 4K-capable device (e.g. Xbox one x), I will not get a 4K picture.
Am I wrong?
And only stream Netflix on my 4K TV without a 4K device
Isn't your TV a 4K capable device? Then that can't work on the Xbox.
Netflix only arrives in 4K if you have premium. But if you have premium and the 4K TV has its own Netflix app, then it should also display 4K.
If your TV is 4k capable, the Netflix app is sufficient on the TV to watch in 4K. Don't need anything else. With normal television you have to install an HD Plus module, otherwise you will not receive 4k.
Normal television is not available in 4k or is it now?
There are, but only a few channels.
Ohh ok
Well, I'm not watching normal TV anymore
Ok just checked there are exactly 3 channels Xd RTL UHD, TravelXP and UHD1
Yes, you are wrong.
If the TV can 4k, then it also outputs 4k.
You just need a 4k source. There are a few test channels (satellite) that broadcast 4k.
Just do a channel search.
If there's no 4k source, the TV will scale up at best, otherwise it will output exactly what the source gives.
