Do you have multiple email addresses?
Did you copy and paste the email address, copy it or write it from memory? With the password as well.
Does the error message relate specifically to the email address or to the pair of email address and password? (Please wording of the message!)
Sometimes something is stuck on the keyboard and it helps to enter the password in a word processing program, check it, copy it and copy it into the login window.
