I have a Surface Pro and would like to buy a monitor. He should not be expensive, but have a good quality. I then use it for everyday use. So office programs, schoolwork, Internet, Netflix.

"It should not be expensive" that will be difficult if you are used to the good screen of the Surface.

I think the Viewsonic VG2719-2K (https://amzn.to/2DRny5S) should have a good price / performance ratio for you, incl. Height adjustment, 1440p, DP / HDMI

What size should it be?

At 27 inches / WQHD (= 2560x1440) this would be the cheapest reasonable candidate (~ 290 Euro): https://geizhals.de/...36279.html

At 24 inches / Full HD (1920x1080) it would be this (~ 120 euro): https://geizhals.de/...76081.html

Reasonably:

Good resolution
Good Panel (IPS)
Good pixel density (> 90dpi)

Then of course you will need the right cable for the Surface Pro, one with Mini Displayport connector.

For Asus it would do this cable: https://geizhals.de/...11801.html

For the LG you need an adapter cable to HDMI, for example: https://geizhals.de/...93748.html

What does not mean expensive? If you are satisfied with Full HD, I would recommend the Samsung s24f356fhu.

PS: if it should be WQHD, this is currently on offer: https://m.notebooksbilliger.de/samsung+curved+monitor+c27h711

The looks from the other data also ok, but is not height adjustable, which I do not want to miss as ergonomic feature.

The S24F356 unfortunately not synonymous.

That's the way it is, if you are looking for something favorable. Mine is not mine either and it does not bother me. But it would have its advantages, I grant you right.
