I have a question (eig several) on monitors and would like to have heard several opinions from people who really have a clue. First of all my pc specs:
I7 8700k, GTX Geforce 1070ti, 16gb ram. I would like to buy a new monitor in advance please no answers like keep your old monitor, which is felt 10 years old and does not even own FHD. I built my PC half a year ago and waited until a monitor came out that really appealed to me.
Let's finally come to my first question when I buy a WQHD monitor with how much FPS can I expect in my Main Games?
Main Games (CSGO, Overwatch GTA 5, R6). So in other words, can I use the 144-165hz at all / (144hz bring something else)?
As for the ingame settings I like to play if it makes sense on Max Settings (if the Fps number is correct). The Fps number I would like to see would be at least 90 or up. With a WQHD monitor the question is my graphics card packs this?
-My second consideration was FHD and 240hz
Since I recognize as many of my main games, a lot of online games zocke maximum FPS would be quite nice. Again, bring the question 240hz in my graphics card what? I would like to see 170hz or more of my preference. If someone asks now the counter question if I have before movies or TV series on the monitor to say I say my Blu Ray anyway have only FHD and Netflix to choose the WQHD subscription changes I think nothing of the fact that most movies / series exist only in FHD (if I'm wrong please correct me).
Finally, the monitors that have come in my final selection:
-FHD 240hz:

WQHD: https://www.acer.com/....HZ1EE.001

I would be happy about serious answers

Ps: If there are any new releases of G sync monitors I would wait, maybe someone knows if this is the case?
In the "High FPS Springs" is increasingly the processor and memory important to ever come to such regions… To do this you must inevitably screw down the graphics settings except perhaps at CSGO & Overwatch… 240+ FPS are depending on the game already rather a rarity why you actually Of course, 170fps are better at 240hz than at 144hz, but if you really need it, let's put it that way…
this is of course generally spoken and if you have games in focus where you can make the 300FPS 240hz certainly makes sense.
I have once decided for 27inch 1440p and 144hz and am so happy with it… The 1440p I would prefer at all times 1080p but there everyone puts his focus differently… In my opinion, this is the best combo at ~ 80cm seat spacing and makes in the ordinary also had more fun
but 27 inches and 1080p I would not take because it would be too rough in my eyes:-)
