Surface Pro 7 or Surface Pro X?

I'm currently thinking about which tablet to buy. I mainly need it to take notes at school, but also at home to watch and browse Netflix. Now the question arises whether I should buy the https://geizhals.de/...WL-1982682 or the https://geizhals.de/...WL-1982686 with a Surface Pen and Type Cover. What's your opinion?

If you really only use it for these undemanding applications, then I would actually only recommend a Go 2. That's a little cheaper in the end.

Me

I have it myself and I have to say that I'm really very happy with it. It can be used well in school and is not overwhelmed at home if you are streaming and have several things open at the same time. But I don't have a direct comparison to the Surface Pro 7, so I can't tell you whether the difference is worth it.

I've already thought about it, but that's a bit too weak for me.

Yes I understand. Even the best configuration is still very weak. Then I would recommend the basic configuration or the next highest, depending on what you want to use it for in the near future. The Pro X is then rather a very expensive affair.

So, if it's really only about taking notes in school and using some multimedia, I would rather see an Android or Apple tablet. These devices are ideally suited for this application and have been well established on the market for many years.

I myself have successfully documented my entire training on an iPad (including Logitech keyboard and Apple Pencil). The battery life is NEVER a whole working day and the app selection is really impressive.

In my opinion, the Surface Pro X is not worth it because it is an ARM device, but it does not have the advantages of an ARM system (battery life). You can forget about programs that require x86 under Windows. And the device is outrageously expensive for that.

The Surface Pro 7 would be worth considering IF you value Win programs with x86 architecture. If you don't care, do yourself a favor and grab Android or Apple.

EDIT:
Like the Surface Pro X, I do NOT recommend the Go range. The Pentium Gold processors will not prevail and will fall far short of expectations.

Either the Surface Pro 7 or switch to Android / Apple tablet.

Yo

Is the newer version, the Surface Pro X

No, both came onto the market at the same time.
