I have an older LG plasma TV, which has always worked well, but now he seems to have problems with the transmission with HDMI. In fact, I have a few dropouts every time I watch Netflix (every few minutes, it turns black for a moment) and as soon as I try to play a game, the TV completely loses the connection (sometimes it works for a few minutes, most of the time, though, it goes straight out when I start the game). Everything works fine via scart. I also have another HDMI cable that I had tried there, and so I had the same problem.
What can this be? Especially because it gets worse while playing? And you can do something about it, apart from an expensive repair.
The socket will be thrown out. These jacks are designed for a limited number of plug-in operations. If you pull off the cable frequently and insert again, the stuff ages.
It is particularly bad if you should belong to the people who do not pull out the plug straight, but back and forth to make it easier. That this can't be good for plug and socket, should be clear to everyone.
You can try if you can get a new firmware for the part and leave. Repair is not worthwhile with older devices, and is often no longer possible.
