Home theater operation with Av receiver - Amazon Fire Tv?

I have now given myself a 5.2 home theater system from Teufel. I also ordered the Onkyo TX No. 686e-b to go with it.

Now I'm waiting impatiently for the arrival of my achievement.

Now I have some questions in advance.

I asked for advice over the phone and was told that I could then run everything on the Onkyo.

Say: Onkyo on TV, Sky Receiver on Onkyo, Blu-ray player on Onkyo, Playstation on Onkyo etc.

Now I also use a lot of Netflix and Amazon Prime.

So when I connect my Amazon and Netflix sticks to the Onkyo terminal, the audio output also runs through my Teufel system.

Now I have already read about bad experiences that the Amazon Stick is not compatible with the Onkyo.

In that case, could I also plug the Amazon Stick into the TV and then send the audio signal from the TV to the Onkyo or is it only possible to send the signal directly to the Onkyo?

Hope my question was understandable and that someone can help me.

Sorry for the long history.

You have to select the option on the TV that the audio output from all sources runs via the Onkyo (ideally via an optical fiber / optical cable).

Does your TV still have no smart functions and apps like Netflix, Amazon Video etc?

But now that you say it, he has. Everything is still new and not set. But the next question arises because there's only one ethernet cable. Do I put this on the TV or onkyo?

I also need the cable, because of the 4k content, that won't work here via WLAN. : /

Hi, theoretically you even need three.

AV receiver, TV and Playstation. If you watch the Amazon and Netflix content on the TV, the Ethernet cable must of course go into the TV.

I myself stuck a small 6-way switch between them.

Has your question been answered?

That's right, the rest of them also want to be supplied with the Internet. I think I have it now, thank you for your answers and especially the food for thought that I have a Smart TV. XD nice weekend
