Usually I have good internet on the Playstation and can play online without any problems, but when all family members are at home the problems start. Father watches Netflix on TV, mother watches YouTube on tablet, my brother plays online Playstation in the garden house (via d-lan) and I play online Playstation upstairs in my room. If that is the case, my internet jerks and the game is as good as unplayable because it hangs up all the time. My question now is what can I do about it? Should I get my own Wi-Fi for my room? I tried an amplifier (tp-link) but that didn't help much.
Well, at some point the bandwidth is used up.
If you have a 10 liter keg of beer, you can get drunk on it alone.
That's not enough at a party with 50 guests.
Obviously annoying, but a repeater can understandably not give you a better gaming experience, since it is only there to pick up the signal and output it again amplified.
You could talk to your parents and think about a better contract with a higher data rate, where you have to see how much is possible on your connection, you can also say that you are giving money.
Or you set a MAC filter on the router and block all devices except yours and have no problems. (Fun)
Always these people who put everything in connection with alcohol;)
Thanks for your answer 😄
Would that also be an option if I simply bought my own wireless router for my room? Would that even make sense?
That would be possible if you have a DSL and a cable connection in the apartment, let's say router A runs over DSL and you make a contract, this would be router B, so you would have 2 separate connections that run independently of each other and you could have yours Use router alone.
