I got a TV, but do not know me very well. Where do I get the channels from? My family has a TV with a card in it and the TV is connected to a cable that you put on the wall (and I do not mean a cable for electricity). What are the options? I would also like to have had many channels, also from other countries, such. For example, England, France… But with my family's TV, there are about 500 channels, so I want a lot more. I do not really know myself with this Netflix or what else is there for boxing. Can someone inform me about it? Do I really need a card? Or do I have to plug the TV necessarily on the wall with this strange cable? Can I choose which programs I want (and pay for them)? If someone is so nice and informs me about it, it is important to me to pretend that I do not know much about the TV set.
There are different ways to get stations and you can also use several of them.
There's https://de.wikipedia.org/...lfernsehen. For this you conclude a contract with a cable TV provider. But there must be a cable TV connection.
There are
https://de.wikipedia.org/...enrundfunk. For this you need a satellite dish, which you align with a corresponding satellite, e.g. On the Astra or Eutelsat satellites. Then you can receive the transmitter transmitted by this satellite. Other countries sometimes use other satellites. For some HD channels you have to pay.
Then there's https://de.wikipedia.org/...nfernsehen, which uses https://de.wikipedia.org/...iki/DVB-T2 today. For this you need a corresponding antenna. There are e.g. Indoor antennas, which are directly connected to the TV.
The last kind I can think of is watching TV over the internet. You can connect a Smart TV directly to the (W) LAN or you can use additional devices such as streaming sticks for Netflix, Amazon Video & Co. For this you need of course Internet access. There are apps for the various providers / broadcasters for smart TVs, and these apps run on the stick for the streaming sticks.
Depending on the TV you can connect the cables directly to this (Reciver built-in) or you need in addition a Reciver, e.g. A SAT Reciver for Satellite TV.
With your previous knowledge, I advise the service technician of your trust… Anders will be nothing.
The 500 programs you get include a whole range of foreign channels. The number of stations suggests that you have SAT reception.
