Why have German private TV stations brought the same program content for years?

Yesterday I looked into a TV magazine for my grandmother for a long time and found that the program content is still the same as it was 4 years ago.

Why does e.g. Cable one even for years at the same time e.g. The Mentalist, Navy CSI LA or Castle.

Or ProSieben do the same with The Big Bang Theory, Taff, How I met your Mother or The Big Bang Theory.

There's actually a program manager at the private channels or you just play a pre-made list over the years.

If I consider Netflix or Amazon Prime there are a lot of new series and feature films every quarter.

How is it that people don't find the same program of private channels filling and that German private channels still have such high viewing rates that it is still worthwhile for the advertising industry.

Also, I don't understand why people are willing to subscribe to the same films and series that are constantly interrupted by advertisements, so that the channels are broadcast in HD quality to an almost outdated standard. If you consider in comparison how many new series were produced in 4k and can only be called up with a Netflixabbo.

Actually, from the point of view of the program and the technology, I wonder that they are not broke yet.

Very simple: because look at the people. Tbbt recently brought the new / last season, pro7 showed it - and of course saw a lot of hams. Other series also bring new seasons again and again (Vox recently brought the latest from SUV).

if the odds are right - then you don't put a show off… But there are always new shows and series coming.

Never change a running system.
It seems to be working and with this program the stations obviously manage to get good ratings.

And you forget the older people. Netflix is too complicated for them or the series shown is too modern, perhaps also the fear of change. I e.g. Can't do much with Netflix.
And with television there's more and more replay TV, so you can record what interests you and then watch it later. You can skip the advertising.

Because cheap. There are already second channels to send "von Halde". Sat1Gold, RTLplus. For example,

Private fly mostly with their own productions on the snout. You have to go to ARD / ZDF / Arte. Good in-house productions and good purchases / partially financed from Scandinavia. I usually like to pay for that.
