I accidentally slept on my new iPhone 11 Pro this morning, I probably fell asleep while watching netflix.
My question was, is the cell phone weight resistant? So it has no external damage e.g. Screen, camera, etc. And I'm not that heavy, I'm about 40 - 50 kg
So I can't imagine that this is a problem 🙂.
If you weigh 40-50kg, it does not mean that there were 40-50kg on the phone. I'm assuming you lie in bed with your entire body, not just a single part of the body. Therefore, only a part of the weight of the body part that was on the cell phone was on the device. So only a few kilograms, if at all.
So nothing happened there. If, on the other hand, you put a 50kg weight directly on the part, without shifting your weight, then of course you will.
Do not panic. I still watch some YouTube clips and mostly fall asleep. The smartphone is then somewhere on the bed, on the floor or anywhere else and damage has never occurred.
I have some concerns when the smartphone moves under me and it heats up extremely due to my body temperature. In the long run, this can't be healthy for the battery if it is continuously heated for 6-8 hours. However, here too I have a solid battery capacity of 91% after three years.
Any cell phone can easily withstand this. Especially a stable cell phone. I accidentally sleep on my iPhone 6s every night and I weigh far more than 40-50kg
