Special, exciting films recommendation (Netflix)?

Can someone recommend a couple of films with a "special" storyline (preferably a thriller), which means where something new / unusual is about. Doesn't always mean the classic a killer chases people, or the classic action film evil versus good, but a film that has a special theme. An example would be "Der Schacht" which I liked the other day and liked it a lot, and the topic was also very memorable. Or "The Game"
