Because Netflix needs the license rights for this.
If these have expired, the films are removed.
Because the licenses are only limited in time for external offers.
In-house productions will probably stay on it forever or until hardly anyone sees it anymore.

When the licenses expire, it is only worthwhile for Netflix to have them renewed if the film is really well received and a lot of people watch it over and over again, which is not the case with most films
