Why can't I watch German movies at netflix?

I'm on vacation (France) and want to watch a horror movie. But not because all movies are in Hindi or something. How so? And does that go away?

No, that does not work. The films are original and you can turn on French, mostly English or sometimes German subtitles anyway.
