Watch TV in the morning before work?

Every morning my husband wakes up and watches an episode or two of a series on Netflix before he gets up, gets ready, and goes to work. In the evening we watch something together for an hour, then I go to sleep and he then looks at something on his own until he goes to sleep.

My question is: Is it normal for him to "watch TV" in the morning? I know it so that you get ready in the morning and then in the evening when you are done with work and / or household chores, you then maybe watch a series or a film again. I asked him that I think this is not quite as healthy and he said I should let him live as he would like. I'm just worried that sitting in front of the TV in the morning could permanently damage your concentration. Especially since he works on the PC all day.

Unfortunately, there are only articles on the Internet that it is harmful to children to watch TV in the morning and that it is generally not good to watch too much TV. That's why I'm asking here.

Your husband is old enough to decide for himself whether he should go to see something before work.

Some people even have to check their e-mails very early in the morning… And it doesn't seem to hurt either.

Yes, unfortunately it has become completely normal. I know many families where. As soon as you are awake, once the television is switched on, I always hear it at work. And nowadays there are at least two televisions in every household and there's also multiple internet access. So from there… Normal.

Why should it be harmful?
If an episode lasts between 30 and 45 minutes then it's 1-1.5 hours. If he gets up early enough and is on time at work, it doesn't matter, then let him.

What I don't think is ok is the sentence that you should let him live as he wants.

You don't say that to your wife, you talk about it.

Everyone should be able to decide for themselves how to start the day. Some go jogging, others deliver the newspaper, still others get up very tight and go straight to work.

To portray Netflix as unhealthy, I think is an exaggeration. You are grown up.

Of course, what he said comes across as a bit harsh, but he really only means live and let live. He wasn't disrespectful, even if that statement can get across.

Ouch.

Age leave him. As long as he goes to work and at least washes and brushes his teeth, that's OK.

I stand up in the morning. Brush your teeth, make coffee, then the telly works or I'll gamble something.

I did that when I was working. Brush your teeth in the morning, then wash your TV and drink coffee. I'm already dressed then. I already made food for work in the evening. Or I was eating.

I don't understand what's so bad about that.

Most of all you worry? Is it maybe that you don't get the attention you want?

Sc

Sweet how you defend him. That's the way it has to be!

Yeah then don't worry. He just likes it that way. As I said… The main thing is that he doesn't come too late.
