I know the series "The Witcher" from Netflix, as well as the book series. I have the Polish feature film "Geralt von Riva - Der Hexer" from 2001 on DVD.

Yes and no The mini series came out a year later, that's right. But the feature film goes as far narratively as the Netflix series, up to the moment when Geralt and Ciri finally get together on a farm. The Polish mini-series focuses on Geralt's youth and prehistory.
It was shot in one wash… Some of the scenes from the film were "recycled" in the series, at least in episode 1.
