Your internet is probably too slow. Netflix adjusts the resolution so that it does not cause any stutters or buffering.

Line speed, where do I see it? Well, if an internet page loads completely in under 1 1/2 seconds, it will have something to do with it. I also play a lot online, I usually have a ping of 6-14 in game, which is very good!
Most browsers (such as Firefox and Chrome) can only play Netflix with max 720p… So exactly DVD quality.
A few browsers (such as Edge) can have higher resolutions in Netflix.
For Chrome and Firefox, however, there are add-ons to be able to play Netflix in 1080p. I tried the add-on for Firefox, but then Netflix only got an error message. So I threw it down again.
The Netflix app on PC, on the other hand, offers the best video quality.
