Series and films on SmartTV not in full screen?

I have a problem with my TV, and it is true that series and films (whether Netflix or Amazon Prime) are often not shown in full screen, but have a fairly large margin at the top and bottom. This of course limits the film fun enormously because the picture looks quite small. However, I wonder why this is because some series also run on full screen, but others do not. Dazn or the TV program can also be viewed in full screen and in HD.

Does anyone know a solution?

This is normal, it always depends on the format of the programs, films, etc. I think the 16: 9 format (above and below with these bars / borders as you described) is so standard. When you zoom you usually don't have the whole picture on the TV (part of the picture is then cut out).

It depends on which cameras were filmed, I think.

It is therefore different for every film or series.

For films like Aquaman e.g. Changes the format even more often within the film.

You can't do anything against it yourself.

It depends on the format in which the films were shot, at 21: 9 you always have bars at the top and bottom of a 16: 9 TV and it doesn't look that good either.
