I created a NETFLIX account at the end of May, paid with a 15 euro gift card. That means I was able to watch NETFLIX for about 3 months until the end of August.
I also like NETFLIX so far, but I do not necessarily use without interruption (pausing). I also heard that it is possible to pause NETFLIX for 10 months. U. A. This site also writes this:
https://praxistipps.chip.de/...aus_110413
But I have already received an email from NETFLIX with the following wording:
"Your Netflix gift has expired and your membership is about to be terminated. To continue enjoying series and movies without interruption, all you need to do is add your billing details to your Netflix account."
Does that mean "soon to be terminated" that it will be terminated in 10 months? Is it an attempt by NETFLIX to put a little pressure on you to get money?
As I said, if I know that I want to watch NETFLIX, I also like to pay for it. But I do not need that all the time. Would then pay with gift card always a few months and ready. Therefore, z. For example, debit is out of the question for me because I do not need to have uninterrupted access to the NETFLIX offer. So anyway have no access to the NETFLIX offer, so I can't secretly watch something without paying. What confuses me, however, that I already get a "last payment reminder" by e-mail, in the membership of the termination is mentioned, although elsewhere is the question that an account will be deleted only after 10 months.
If you can't pay or pay the membership is terminated, which is exactly the same as pausing in the case.
Why so complicated?
If you do not need Netflix all the time, let it go.
But there's the monthly payment and terminability.
You have to cancel a subscription yourself. But since you have not completed a subscription, but have paid in advance with a gift card, you do not have to worry about anything. The email just points out that starting from day X, you will not be able to retrieve movies and series if you stop paying.
Incidentally, with the standard subscription you can cancel on a monthly basis.
Oh, wait a minute: The membership will be terminated, but my account will not be deleted directly, right? It will last for a while (so the 10 months that are, inter alia, in the chip article that I have read)? Or does fellowship mean at the same time that the account is completely deleted? That's what I started with first.
If my account still persists, it's good. Because always register again is also stupid.

Your account will never be deleted, you can only watch without a subscription. I do not know what you have with your 10 months all the time. Subscribe or Subscribe. It's not that complicated.
Oh so ok. Well then. Somehow this payment reminder has pretty much confused me today. XD
I was more concerned that my account still exists and I'm still on it with a gift card, if I want to look further.
But once my membership is terminated, it does not mean that my account is directly gone, right? That's what I first equated.
While not always need access to NETFLIX, but to always have to re-register and make a new account, is also stupid.
