My internet access has been switched to fiber optic by Telekom. In this context I changed the router to Telekom Smart3. I set up my smartphone, computer and smart TV (Sony KD-55XE85xx) on Wi-Fi. Everything works, except for the media library. Sometimes it works, other times I can't play a video. I can make a selection on the media library page and when I click on the film the error message appears: "This video can't be played due to a technical problem". A couple of times I also received the error message: An error occurred during playback, content with geoblocking can only be accessed from Germany.
I can easily access and play Netflix and app content on the television. I reset and restarted the router and TV. But nothing helps. Everything worked even with my old router.
Does anyone know the problem and can help me?
This message with the geo-blocking makes me a bit puzzled.
Which media library is it about? Has any VPN tunnel been set up? Does the phenomenon exist on every device or only on a specific one (e.g. The television)?
It's about the media library ARD, ZDF. A VPN tunnel is not set up. In the meantime, I've switched on Telekom's service area. From there the router and the line were restarted. At the moment it seems to be OK again.
Ok, then hopefully it just seems like a one-time story. I keep my fingers crossed that this won't happen again anytime soon.
If so, please let us know again here.
