Did you understand the series Dark the first time you saw through?

I'd like to know if you've understood the Netflix Dark series connections and operations after you first looked through them.

I watched the show with my friend and he had to help me a lot, but I'll probably watch the show a second time to get a better understanding of it.

As I got along with just one past, the next one came out nicely and in the future I somehow did not even go there anymore haha
