I want to get a laptop / tablet for my studies and hobby?

At the beginning I wanted to get a Surface Tablet, because then I can use it as a laptop and write on the tablet with the pen.

Then I saw a laptop that you could fold directly so that you could write on it and so on.

Can you give me tips on what kind I should get or your own experience with a certain device?

Mainly need it for office applications, script writing, Netflix, Sportify etc.

Budget?

Around 1000 CHF

An iPad is best for handwritten writing.
Office and media consumption can also be managed without any problems.

If you can prove that you are a student, you can take advantage of the lenovo campus discount.

The Thinkpad yogas are very well made and you get a real calculator.

The lenovo pen is completely sufficient for writing, at least the older models can only be used to a limited extent as a graphics tablet.

I think an iPad is best for what you want to do. (Of course with Apple Pencil)

Then have fun with Windows

I can recommend a Surface for that. There you get a proper laptop with tablet function.

I can only advise you not to use the iPad because it doesn't run Windows on it. An iPad is and will remain a tablet. You can do everything on it that you have specified, but if you want to do something else, you are very limited.

Still better than a mobile operating system of any kind (ios / android)

The iPad is without question the best tablet for most users. But the moment the keyboard is connected, it's just a tablet with a keyboard again.

In addition, Benin47 thought about surfaces so he will already be familiar with Windows and let's be honest the usability of Windows has improved.

The office for dekstops is by the way less screwed up than the one on the ipad.

My Windows 10 at work is the last mess. I have to constantly transfer things to my mobile phone or MacBook via a cloud. Between iPhone and Windows I have for example. No AirDrop. I don't want to hear any suggestions for solutions or anything. Our support is not able to provide the desired flexibility and ease of use. Of course everything is possible, but if we had the choice which OS we would use for simple Office things, I would use Mac. Especially when I benefit from iCloud a lot when I'm on the go.

Re

It's just the ecosystem. What does that have to do with this?

Fe

Jo So have fun with Windows. That should be considered. As a result, I can no longer buy Windows Android devices, no matter how beautiful they are. I'm a Mac user now, not because Apple is hotter. But because Windows is no longer mine.

Fe

What matters to me is which device I buy. Is like with cars, whether front-wheel drive / all-wheel drive / automatic / switch etc.

Re

It's okay, but don't cry if you don't have the choice to choose the ecosystem

So I'm using a Thinkpad X200T from 2009, if that's not an older model, I don't know either. The stylus input works great, far better than with a graphics tablet (I tested the Wacom Intuos S).

You can also install Linux on a Thinkpad if you don't like Windows.

Watch out for colleagues, ick don't cry at all. Come here with Öko Mimimi around the corner and make a mess of the Internet in font size 6 or something, so small-minded, yes, are you a watchful guardian or what? Or a spy? Germany is ne GmbH, yes? Has no constitution and so yes?

My nurses have a 13 inch laptop. Super light.

Easy to transport,

Just the thing for work.

But make sure you have a good display.

It can also be an SSD hard drive. 512 GB minimum.

Make no noise.

Display 4 k. I recommend HP https://www.dustinhome.dk/product/5011178937/elitebook-840-g6?ssel=false&LGWCODE=5011178937;90883;5443

Is danish. Divide the price by 7.5. Then you have Euro

Is usually more expensive than an Apple.

In euro you get a good… 4K display, 1 TB SSD for 640 euro

So don't get dizzy with the Danish prices.
