A bit of a stupid question, but I wanted to buy a Smart TV this week and since I want to put it in a place where there are no qualifications I wanted to ask if I can use it without a cable and watch Netflix etc. Or do I need a receiver then?
So you don't need that with my model, but they are different. Needs a power connection and a LAN or wireless connection. But rust is different for each model, so find out more from the manufacturer
So purely for netflix, i.e. The SMART TV functions, you only need an Internet connection and a very good Wi-Fi connection would be sufficient
TV means watching TV - cable, terrestrial or satellite. "Smart" means access to the Internet. Two different things.
I made my old television (satellite) smart by hooking up an AppleTV that is connected to the internet (cable).
