I see more and more often that questions about free films or football games appear here. That begs me the question: Why?
We want quality, we want good series, we want good films and are not ready to spend even a penny? It hurts the people who you actually "celebrate".
I can't understand it either. I have 10 euro for Netflix or DAZN even as a student, who only earns 450 euro a month.
I think that if you consume and get some quality for it, you should be prepared to pay as well.
I do not go to a restaurant and ask for a free meal. That's kind of totally absurd.

In the end, the owner of the intellectual property does not make a loss of whether I do not look it and he does not get any money, or I look it and he does not get any money, makes no difference per se.

If you can get it for free, why should you pay? Then you just waived perhaps top quality but it gets free. Many people just do not care that if they do not pay for this film, they will not support the movie. And e.g. The actors get a little less money.
The comparison with the restaurant makes little sense. People who do that do not go to a movie theater and ask for a movie to watch for free. They go somewhere where what they want is offered for free. There are certainly places that also offer food for free.
First and foremost, that's the result of a stingy-is-cool attitude.
Especially with film and (first division) football and a little less pronounced even with popular music swings certainly also the ulterior motive, that anyway anyway millionaires and would not need more. Many seem completely unaware that this is a very distorted picture of the world.
That is exactly the problem of our society. We think that all are millionaires and make 10 euro a month no difference. Completely absurd.
