Thanks to Netflix series and movies, thank god I know the story now, what happened so sooner. Yesterday I learned that German freedom fighters abducted Air France in 1974.
I would never have found that without Netflix. I have always believed that Israel and Palestine got along peacefully.
It may well be that for you Netflix is the main source of information for such info, but you could have gotten this information through various other sources: video portals, encyclopaedias / Fachlexika, forums, non-fiction books, textbooks, partly textbooks, journals (GEO Epoch etc. ). Old-fashioned you could have gone to a library. Online, you could just google for history forums, blogs, videos, info pages.
Netflix is ONE possible source of information, there are and still are many others. Incidentally, many older people are historically very educated, because in the past more and different history lessons were given (to learn more data, other emphases than today).
You could have learned that from other sources. For example, The media libraries of the public broadcasters.
With these channels I get my information about history and many other topics.
