I'm slowly realizing that without pay TV / streaming providers / subscription programs or what they all call themselves (I'm a total layman) it is no longer really nice television. In normal television programs, almost all programs run that hardly appeal to me. You also get the impression that there's more and more advertising. So sooner or later pay TV will find its way into our household. But which provider is the best or which provider covers which topics well?
Which Pay TVs do you have and how satisfied are you with them? Pros and cons
Of course, you could also use several providers, but to be honest… For a disability pensioner, a single provider is already too much in terms of price and they are really not cheap.
So… In which direction should I move and why?
E.g. Amazon Prime, YouTube Premium, Sky, Maxdome, Netflix, and and and. I don't even know what's there.
Can you help me there? I would be extremely grateful to you.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a harmonious holiday season, a happy, but accident-free, New Year and, above all, "Stay healthy!"
Television: Discovery Channel
Internet: YouTube Premium
My favorite is Prime. That's just where most of the series are for me. Netflix also has a good offer. And above all, both are quite inexpensive at around 8 euro a month.
I use all common ones.
Prime has a large selection, but I personally find it annoying to switch to paid offers
Netflix. Offer smaller, but you can use everything that is offered and there are no additional costs
Disney. I actually only watch for the Simpsons and the documentaries to fall asleep, otherwise I find the offer pretty thin
Edit. Forgot your sky ticket. Quite a good offer, but a bit more expensive in terms of price. All popular films and series included. Solid offer

I alternate between Amazon Prime and Netflix.
Recommended are:
Amazon Prime Video (selection)
Netflix (selection)
Dazn (sport)
Disney + (selection small, but recommended for Star Wars fans)
I would advise against Sky Ticket, as the price-performance ratio is pretty bad & they still don't provide UHD content in the sports area.
Otherwise, Rakuten TV is also interesting if you want to see a newer film for 5 euro.
