Netflix App / Apps in China?

Hello,

I already know that the Great Firewall in China blocks certain websites (and apps?) and you need VPNs to avoid this by changing the IP address. I have Netflix as an app on my laptop and cell phone and I would download series, but I wondered if I could even look at them (assuming I did not see the wlan in that case), but I'm not sure. Could someone answer that?

If you have experience with China, which apps and web browsers really do not work: Netflix, WhatsApp, Spotify, Instagram, YouTube, Google

Another question would still be as it is exactly with (most importantly) Spotify and WhatsApp, since calls and emails (Gmail and Google are I mean blocked, Outlook is also blocked?) Yes are normally too expensive and WA would be my main and safest alternative, Doing without Spotify is also stupid, then I would have to download everything (in addition to the question whether it is not because the media are downloaded in the app as Netflix)

I now have 2 free VPNs (tested by secure sites) but one only offers 10GB and the other one is slower as it is the free version. Unfortunately, I have no idea if they work well in China, which is why I want to ensure the above. 😊

Well, if you're only in China for one month, you could use the NordVPN test month. Otherwise, unfortunately, I have no experience with it. With Netflix and Spotify you could download the titles and renew with the VPN in between. For WA, 10 GB is enough if you do not want to use the test month. Unfortunately, I can well imagine that China has also blocked many VPN providers, although many free VPN providers have their headquarters in China. An alternative to WA would be Wechat. This works on any case. However, your friends and relatives would have to install it as well.
