Macro does my job?

Some time ago, I created an Excel macro, which does a large part of my work in the company. That means I currently work at most one hour a day and the rest is Netflix. As soon as they realize that, I and a part of my department will probably be dismissed. Can I then demand money for the operation to take over the software? Suppose I created it in my free time.

You did not develop software, but created an Excel macro. That's a world of difference.

Consequently, you can't sell anything.

If the manual work was so easy that it can be replaced by an Excel macro, then it will definitely fall away soon.

But if you're smart enough to create an Excel macro, then you should be smart enough with your skills to do a better job before that happens.

The word software is not mentioned at all. Basically it is not relevant for this question if you call a macro software or not. I can also sell the rights to a Word document. The question is more if I have this.

I'm already there.
