Streaming box, software?

Hey i'm looking for a streaming box, i'm not satisfied with the fire tv stick, i'm looking for something neutral that is fast and doesn't lie.

Is there a software that I could install on a pc to use it as a streaming box for standard apps like youtube, maxdome, amazon video, netflix, apple tv, etc

or can you recommend streaming boxes?

the telekom media receiver is too slow for me and appletv i have no experience.

Yes, I personally run KODi on my Raspberry PI. You can also pack this on your PC.

Setting up Netflix and Amazon is a bit tricky as they are not officially supported, but there are plenty of instructions for that.
