Do you use one email address for gaming and another for real life stuff?

I made 2 Gmail addresses. Only I don't know for sure whether I should use both, one for gaming accounts and for YouTube and one for real life things like accounts and for example Instagram, Spotify, Netflix etc. I would like to know how you arranged it. Because I think that sometimes I might not know which one to use for an account or an account.

I don't know what if you can write something under the question when you do a survey. If so, I would appreciate a little explanation of your decision.

Ke

I don't gamble, so I don't use an email address for gaming. But I use a separate address for each service. Amazon has a different address than Ebay, as a good question, than my bank, as…

Just to deal with the spam etc you have to have several emails.

also there are often enough things where my email is displayed in google and I don't like it when the one connects me with the one that connects me.

Re

3 email addresses for everything mixed

Dat is efficient

Actually came there by chance when I opened my Google account for the first time, I had nothing to do with more professional things and therefore didn't need anything in that direction.

But for the first applications I noticed that the address is not very professional and therefore the second, more professional

Ma

Unfortunately I do that too… I have 4 emails but use them in a really chaotic and senseless way

Mo

What does the solution mean? I just have 3 pieces that I switch wildly back and forth when registering.

Originally created because of a YouTube account, because I didn't know that you could have multiple channels on one account.

But yes now I use them just wildly mixed up. Fortunately, the Windows 10 mail program can display several, so that you don't have to constantly re-register.

Mo

Same, it turned out to be that way for me over time.

St

How do you mostly professional? For example, that you didn't give a good name or what?

And thank you

St

Thank you

St

OK thanks. But where did you create your email addresses then? With Gmail, I think it's a little awkward. How did you do that?

St

I don't know exactly whether I'm a bit incompetent but I don't quite understand what you mean by the second paragraph.

Ke

I have my own domain. I don't have to set up the email addresses. Everything that is sent to addresses that have not been set up goes to a specific mailbox.

It's also pretty easy with Gmail. If you z. B. If you have the address name@gmail.com as your address, you can use any number of addresses with the pattern name+alias@gmail.com. So:

name+ebay@gmail.com
name+amazon@gmail.com

St

Ok right that makes sense!

Knuddels xD they were the ones who published the data of the users or something I read once

St

Ok thanks, I think I'd rather stick with my plans.

Ke

To clarify: You do not have to create the addresses according to the pattern name+alias@gmail.com. Just give it a try, send yourself an email to such an address. The advantage is that you can see very quickly that e.g. B. An email from Amazon can't be from Amazon because it was not sent to name + amazon @ gmail. And you can see very quickly that the shop Something has a data protection problem and your account there may be compromised because you are getting mails to name+something@gmail.com.

Sa

It was my old gamertag in the email name. And then professionally for such applications with real names
