Because they think it's not appropriate to watch until they are 16.
But it wasn't like that 2 years ago
Maybe because someone complained that this wasn't intended for the child's age group.
Maybe they checked it again and changed it.
With Hunter x Hunter this is quite understandable even if the first two arcs seem like a children's series
From the 3rd arc, at the latest when the Phantom Troupe appears, it should be clear to everyone why the anime is 16+
And as far as Sword Art Online is concerned, the anime has some brutal parts, but especially ecchi scenes (see episode 24 season 1)
At that time that was maybe still unclear, but at the beginning I also asked myself how 2 "non-brutal" anime from 16 can be. The same goes for the Assassination Classroom, by the way
