How can you look bigger, e.g. Will Smith do?

I'm currently viewing the Prince of Bel-Air series again via Netflix. And I always notice that the Will Smith looks so damn big. With a height of 1.87m he is not small, but I'm at least 1.89m for example and I have the feeling that I don't look that big at all. What am I doing wrong, or what is smith doing right to look so big? Could it also be because I always imagine that I'm not big? How do you see the whole thing? Do you also think that I'm 1.89m tall?

This is probably a matter of imagination. You are tall enough with your 189 cm. You probably also look as tall as Will Smith. But you're just imagining it wrong. Don't worry about it.

I'm sure you look big, no one dares to say it… Because you're so big

Will Smith is right that there are several people who will earn more than normal people will ever make, who will make him come across as he should come across.

This is due to the camera and the lenses used, as well as your own understanding of sizes and spaces.

Lenses affect the so-called image scale. It defines the size of a depicted object to the real size.

Your brain uses known sizes to calculate the size of "unknown" objects. You see a table or chair and an unknown object - now your experience tells you the chair is size X, which will help you estimate the other object. You can cleverly influence this mechanism from a perspective. When you look up, an object looks bigger and bigger. When you look down, an object looks smaller and smaller.

I'm 1.67 and children take me as a giant

Yes. I can definitely agree with you. Because the played uncle of Will Smith is 1.96 m tall and he didn't really look big. Only in scenes when he was standing next to a door did you realize how big he actually is. Unfortunately, the actor died on New Year's Eve 2013. Rest in peace.

Thanks 😂
