Can Netflix block credit cards?

So my problem is that I intentionally used the test phase in Netflix twice, then I quit everything and so on and so on. But I just noticed that Netflix has debited 7.99 euro from my account. And now I have another problem. I received an email saying my credit card had been blocked. I now wonder if that was Netflix. And if so, can you do it?

Serious answers only, please. I know I made a mistake and I will not do it again.

Did the message come from Netflix or from your bank?

If it came from Netflix, then Netflix blocked your card from Netflix, i.e. You can't open another Netflix account with the card. Otherwise you can continue to use your card as normal.

Only if the message came from your bank, by post or in your online banking. Then the card is really blocked.

If you have received a message from your bank via email, it is most likely spam. Please do not respond to any link in the mail.

I get such messages at least twice a week… I was supposed to be a customer of Sparkasse, Deutsche Bank, etc.

But the sending email of the notifications NEVER matched the alleged banking institutions!

You can test this very easily: Drive to the nearest ATM and withdraw a small test amount from your account with your credit card or buy a liter of Coke at the next petrol station. If it works, the mail is definitely fraudulent spam.

If the mail is from Netflix, THIS credit card can no longer be used as a means of payment with Netflix.
