Are there any Netflix fantasy series that you can recommend to me?
The first thing that comes to mind spontaneously is "Shadowhunter".
The series is based on the books "The Mortal Instruments" by Cassandra Clare.
It's about a girl who learns on her 18 birthday that she is a shadow hunter (Shadowhunter).
Short explanation:
Shadowhunters protect humans from demons. People have no idea that there are demons, angels, werewolves, vampires, etc. Shadowhunters are half humans, half angels, and then there are the Fiends too. Fiends are half human, half demons. Elves, werewolves, vampires, and sorcerers are fiends.
The creatures that are completely demons are the evil ones to be killed.
Plot:
The girl sees things she can't explain and no one else sees. When she returns home on the evening of her birthday, she finds herself horrified that her apartment is completely destroyed and her mother has disappeared. She is attacked by a demon, but rescued by Jace, who is also a Shadowhunter.
She wakes up at the institute where Jace and other Shadowhunters live, and from there the story begins right. The girl learns that her mother was kidnapped by Valtentine. Valentine is a wicked Shadowhunter who desperately wants to reach a magical chalice that can do a lot of damage in the wrong hands. Exactly this cup the mother fled many years ago.
Now the girl is trying to free her mother - and Valentine must be defeated.

So that was the first fantasy series that came to my mind. It's about action, love, magic and more. The series is exciting and captivating, and in some places somewhat violent. There are 3 seasons, and the series is from 16+.
So the books were not very good (I still read them all, because it was kind of interesting) but the series is again much worse. The characters are implemented in my opinion very strange. And she will never have an end because she was dropped off prematurely.
Well, I found the books very captivating, but that's a matter of taste.
Regarding the implementation of the Karaktäre I have to explain that the series was not made to be just like the books. It was once made a movie (City of bones), but it was not as good as expected, which is why we tried again with a series. In the series, unlike the movie, many things have changed to make them more interesting and better. Although the series is based on the books from the beginning, it becomes independent.
The one with the discontinued end is new to me, I honestly did not know that. I'm interested, can you maybe send me a link so that I can read this?
I'm sorry that you do not like the show, and that you obviously already knew it. I'll let you know if I think of other fantasy series.
If you do not fundamentally reject anime:
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
