How much money can you rent your own apartment?

I would like to move out of my parents' house soon and would like to ask how much money you should earn or how much money you should get out of the month.

Rent: 550 euro

Car (insurance & tank) 220 euro

Mobile Internet (Spotify, Netflix etc): 110 euro

Fitness: 20 euro

My income is 1500 net. I know this is a question that can't be answered exactly but that I may find a rough overview.

Le

As a single person, you should loose money with 1,500 euro net.

After deducting the rent (warm rent?) Of 550 euro, you will have 950 euro to live free.

Have you already considered the DSL with your Internet costs? If yes, we deduct from the 950 euro also the 350 euro you specified cost, we're at 600 euro.

You should calculate the following costs:

Electricity ~ 50 euro for 1 person
Food ~ 200 euro for 1 person
Clothes ~ 100 euro (depending on need)

Save ~ 100 to 150 euro (for emergencies, always needed!)

If we were at about 150 euro a month you still left, despite saving, etc. Certainly there are costs that I forgot or separately incurred with you. However, you should come with your income!

Sk

One third of the income should not exceed the rent. If the 550 euro still 150 euro operating costs, so that the rent is 700 euro, you are already at fasdt 50%, z. B. Already reached with the electricity bill.

350 euro for other stuff and you are at 1100 euro. This leaves around 400 euro for food and clothes. If you have 100 euro for clothes u. A. Issue, you still have 300 euro for food and drink, so about 10 euro. Decide for yourself if you can handle it.

If it was not enough:

Find an apartment near the workplace, then abolish the car or at least drastically reduce the fuel costs. Check out if you really need all the funny subscriptions for Netflix, Spotify, etc., or if it just makes sense to contribute to the billions in revenue of the underlying media and Internet industries.

I do not share the opinion of most here that this is really enough. Of primary importance would be whether it is the warm rent? A good rule of thumb is 1/3 of the rent may go for the total housing costs, so for warm rent including electricity and really all utilities. Your income would be the max. 500 Euro warm rent with electricity. If I add to your income still food and clothing or generally still things like going out and vacation, it is very fast very close. And even a car repair can unexpectedly suddenly make up several hundred euro. Of course, it is somehow feasible, but it will probably be very close very soon. Significantly, it also seems important to me whether your income will increase in the foreseeable future, e. Due to tariff regulations. If not, I would still wait with the undressing and first make proper reserves or try to get cheaper housing.

sl

550 are already mitdrin operating costs.

sl

I would be aware that it would be based on this principle. The rent is 550 euro. However, I have a car that is mainly about it.

Le

That should fit if you save. The reserves are enormously important, especially when the car is being maintained. For example for repairs or MOT.

Sk

Well, that's great. Then you have 5 euro more per day for food and drink. Then you can do it, right?

sl

That's the question. I'm feeling good for myself, that's what it's all about for me. But there's also some fear of "what if".

Sk

What happened if:

Netflix, Spotify, sky and other subscribe unsubscribe. That would definitely be the first.

Definitely choose cheapest electricity provider.

Telephone tariffs check whether they can be terminated and replaced by cheaper ones.

Consistently exploit all energy saving options.

Abolish a car or buy a cheaper one.

Keep a budget and keep track of expenses. Compare several months in this way and determine potential savings. Often, many small issues add up to a very large total.

Divide these actions into priorities and consistently follow those that are most promising.

Many people get by with much less income.
