Is there a way to find out who ordered an unauthorized direct debit?

Like many, I have a Netflix account.

The book 1x monthl.11,99 euro from.

Just a lot of me, that shortly after each other (19.11. & 25.11.) 2x the same amount of "Netflix" was deducted.

In one of the debits, however, I noticed that the payee was listed in a modified form.

The regular debit was listed as always, with company name and seat. And then stood as a purpose of "Monthly Subscription"

At the other booth only "Netflix.com"

When used, sales stood at 21.11 11,99 euro

And the receiver was an eternally long number, starting with numbers and in the course of letters and minus and finally NL.

That's it. Everything I had so far from Netflix debits was always backbuchbar.

This strange second posting can't be booked back via online banking (for that I would probably have to contact Visa directly).

I have contacted Netflix and, after verifying it several times and checking it out, they insured that they did not request this charge.

In order to get the money back I have to contact extra visas.

I ask myself however 1. Which ways it gives everything, that something can develop.

And 2. If and how to find out who was the one who initiated the payment? If you say something like this to your bank or your bank, they just book it back and that's it? Or are they following that too?

Above all: A few days ago something similar was attempted with a much higher amount. Since Google should have been the client. It was not.

If it has been charged twice, you can simply book it back - With unauthorized charges, you can do that later. You can inform netflix.

Of course, you should inform Visa. So that a bolt is advanced.

What does VISA have to do with it? Did the debit from your bank account or credit card account occur?

Talk to your bank. Firstly, the direct debits can always cancel, secondly they can find out who initiated the dubious direct debit.

Who declares that you can't retrieve this seemingly illegally drawn direct debit? Your bank?

Thank you for your answer. I have already done everything. My concern is now only, especially because I have not had this account and the corresponding free credit card for a long time, how this could have happened or maybe could only come about?

And I was wondering if maybe I could figure out what happened when the bank found out who ordered that payment? And that was a break what I wanted to know.

Also thank you for the answer. So I think if I directly contact VISA, or The bank I received the visa card for, then I will definitely get it back.

BUT else it is actually all direct debits, either when I online banking calls or my bank app, that when I click on the screen, there under directly an option / button is listed on which is, direct debit call back (or something like that anyway). Only with these two unauthorized payments, this possibility does not exist funny way.

What that has to do with whether or not you can bring back such a direct debit as just described, I would also be interested. This option is otherwise always listed for direct debits, only for these two charges not (ie 1x would-be Netflix 11,99 euro and the other where it was not directly chargeback, was about 1 week ago 105 euro of "would-Google payment ".

About the credit card FROM my bank account. Have this Visa credit card without monthly costs to my checking account to get. (Especially to be able to use certain machines for free, so do not pay anything for the card unless I cover it with it.) If I use it, it will be debited directly from the actual account, in some cases at least the sales will be booked directly, if not immediately is deducted.)

About the credit card FROM my bank account.

Then, however, a revocation of this direct debit should be possible.

Ne

The bank will (once again) say that this is a regrettable single case and not really possible.

Otherwise the whole credit card system would break down together. Since you earn too much money to endanger that.

Well, credit cards are usually addressed to the credit card company and deny the legality of the burden.

Is usually quite uncomplicated.
