How long does it take for PayPal to trust me?

So I turned 18 a few days ago (on February 24th I also opened my account), so I created my own account. Before that, I shared my mother's account for 2 years. Now I have opened the account, have also confirmed it (i.e. The bank details), carried out a few transactions, paid for 100 euro and given a direct debit mandate for Netflix. Nevertheless, I can't always pay everything and I get error messages when I make some payments, but when I use my mother's account everything goes.

Why is that, and is PayPal checking me now or do I have to use PayPal longer so that they have more confidence in me and I have the full range of functions?

PS: Please don't tell me now that my mother can get in trouble because I share her account 😂

Account not covered?

It may well be that PayPal also requires you to provide your credit card number as a security measure. This is particularly common with new PayPal accounts.

You know that too.

The contracts between PayPal and the individual customers are very clear.

If you have entered your credit card, your credit rating will be sufficient.

A real credit card, of course - not a children's prepaid card.

But, I even have 90 Euro PayPal credit on it and the account is more than covered only wanted to buy something for 4 Euro xd

I applied for a credit card as an 18-year-old, it now takes up to 2 weeks. They haven't asked for anything yet, but I can't pay. Is only something for 4 euro and have 90 euro credit on PayPal (my so that they have to charge my account for the purchase) …

Have now applied for a mastercard at n26

Nevertheless: security measure (software setting).
