Screen time-out not working on Netflix?

Moin zsm.

I have the "screen time out" on 15sec. Posed.

When I watch a series on Netflix and press pause, the cell phone only turns on significantly later than 15 seconds. From.

Why is that?

Can you set the screen time-out on Netflix or is it a fixed time that can't be changed?

Me

The reason is that certain apps shouldn't actually turn off the screen.

It takes a little while longer until the app passes on to the operating system that there's a break and the timeout can be made.

Ka

So you can't set that up?

Me

Probably no, since it is not a "function" in itself. If that bothers you, you have to turn the display off manually.

Ka

Ok, thank you very much, but what do you mean by "function"? The Time Out screen should do just that or do you mean something else?

Gu

For iOS: in settings to "automatic lock" and then set there

Ka

I think it's the same as Samsung's "Screen Time Out".

As I mentioned above, this does not match with Netflix, i.e. When I lock the screen to 15sec. Place and pause the film at Netflix, it turns off automatically some time later.

Gu

They probably specified a longer period in the settings

Ka

Can be good - which one can't be changed is given.

Ka

Oke, I have now found a formula, which is funny but that's the way it is. You have to calculate the screen time-out time + 2min. Then you know when the screen turns off when you pause the film.

Funny but true 😅😂
